The River Family Vacation

We drove out to the River late Monday night.  We were so happy to arrive.  The weather has been great.  Only 105 to 107, and when we are playing in the 78 degree water it feels perfect. We love to come up here and spend time as a family.  We have been swimming, sleeping, stand up paddling, wave-running, and wake surfing.  This weekend all the guy cousins came up for a weekend trip.  JB has had so much fun golfing, watching movies, shooting the potato gun, and wake-surfing behind Barrett's boat with all the boys.

Here is a picture of CJ playing on the patio with his boats.
Here's Daddy with the kids, and the yummy home-made pizza.
Loving the pizza!
Mommy and the kids.
Playing on the surfboard.
Happy boys.

There was a beautiful sunset Tuesday night, M looked so cute on the dock in her new swimsuit, I had to snap a couple shots.

JB and one of the fish he caught. This bass was huge, about 20 inches. We looked online to see how old he was, and learned that he was probably close to 15 years old.

Sweet Little Guy

We love this little guy so much.  He's growing up so fast.  Here are some cute things he has said lately:
The other morning when I asked him what he wanted to eat and he said, "Mommy, do you have any pancakes on hand?"
During sacrament meeting, before he ate the bread, he said, "I love this bread.  This is Jesus' bread."
This morning, while cuddling with JB, "Daddy, I love you, you're my best friend."

I love how he can express himself so well.  He has the sweetest, funniest, most outgoing personality. I can never stay mad at him because he always makes me laugh when he flashes his great big smile and sparkling blue eyes.

Here is a pic of CJ and Daddy about to paddle out at Sano.

Heat Wave

This morning we went to 9th street and played and surfed.  After naps we were still so hot and had to do something about it.  So we played in the sprinklers in the backyard.

We filled up buckets with water for the kiddies to play in with their boats and sand toys.  We wish we had a pool.

Here is a funny video of CJ falling out of the bucket, and cute little sis blowing bubbles.

Go Angels

We went to Mormon Night at Angels stadium Friday night with my parents and JB's parents.  We were up in the nose bleeds, but it was still a ton of fun with all of our friends and family there.

The view from our seats.
Trying cotton candy for the first time.  She LOVED it and wanted more.  Grandma Jaycie was not too happy about that.
CJ loved the fireworks,
M was not so sure.
Then Tuesday night we went to the Angels game again.  This time we had seats right behind home plate.  It was amazing.  We went with JB's parents and had a great time.

This is how close we were.  It was so cool to see all of our favorite players.  This is Vladimir Guerrero up at bat.

This is when the Angels scored 2 points.  It was very exciting.  I never thought I would hear those  words coming out of my mouth.

The Angels won that night.  It was a great game.

18 Months Old

I can't believe my baby girl is 18 months old! Time flies by so fast. I remember how excited I was when she was born. She was so beautiful. All the nurses said she was such a pretty baby.

Check out those lips!
Here she is with her new Little Einstein Red Rocket ride-on toy.  I bought it for her "half" birthday.

I just took her in for her 18 month well check.  She weighs 21 pounds 8 ounces, and is 30 inches tall.  She is in the 10th percentile for both weight and height.  Last well check she was in the 5th percentile so she is catching up!  I love my little girl.

Swimming

I took Miss B over to Amber's pool for some mother-daughter swim time.  We had such a blast playing in the water together.

Cheese!
Here is Miss B saying "up" to me, she is also saying "scooties" as she scoots along the edge of the pool.

Out to Lunch

Today we had a really fun day at the park with our friends Amber and Saxon. We went to the park off Garfield and Sea Point. We had the park to ourselves, and there were tractors digging in the field next to us. After the park we went out to lunch at Mickey D's. Miss B loves the grilled chicken wrap, and CJ loves the Yogurt and fruit.

Story Time With Bubbles!

Today I took the kids to the Main Street Library for story time.  The teacher read some books and sang songs with the kids, then we alll went outside for bubbles.  She had a whole crate of bubble wands, and several buckets of soap all over the lawn.  The kids went crazy and had so much fun.  There were tons of kids from the ward there too.

Meredith, Peanut, Ana, and Ava.  M loves to hang out with all of her little girlfriends:)

Loving the bubbles.  These two are really starting to love each other, and have so much fun playing together.

Happy Birthday JB

Happy 33rd birthday Honey!  I let him sleep in,
I made him banana pancakes,
Then I surprised him and took him to the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel.  My sister-in-law works there as a yoga instructor so I scored a family discount.
That hotel is AMAZING!
Everything about it is gorgeous.
The room was so comfortable and beautiful. (This is what it looked like, but we had the garden view).  The ocean view was about $3oo more a night, so I decided to pass, like we've never seen the ocean.

The bathrooms were floor to ceiling marble.
JB on our balcony.  It was very pretty, and had a nice ocean breeze blowing right into our room.
The fitness center had the best view.  It was so much fun to work out and watch the waves.  If I had a gym like that to work out in everyday I would be in the best shape!
The view from the hotel.  It over looks Salt Creek, a fun surfing beach.  The waves were actually really fun that day, we surfed all afternoon.  It was so nice being in the water all day, and not worrying about the kids. (Thank you Grandma JC)!
Grand staircase.
I took him to dinner at the Salt Creek Grill.  JB had the best steak he's had in a long time.
