Story Time With Bubbles!

Today I took the kids to the Main Street Library for story time.  The teacher read some books and sang songs with the kids, then we alll went outside for bubbles.  She had a whole crate of bubble wands, and several buckets of soap all over the lawn.  The kids went crazy and had so much fun.  There were tons of kids from the ward there too.

Happy Birthday JB

Happy 33rd birthday Honey!  I let him sleep in,
I made him banana pancakes,
Then I surprised him and took him to the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel.  My sister-in-law works there as a yoga instructor so I scored a family discount.
That hotel is AMAZING!
Everything about it is gorgeous. 
The room was so comfortable and beautiful. (This is what it looked like, but we had the garden view).  The ocean view was about $3oo more a night, so I decided to pass, like we've never seen the ocean.

JB on our balcony.  It was very pretty, and had a nice ocean breeze blowing right into our room.

The fitness center had the best view.  It was so much fun to work out and watch the waves.  If I had a gym like that to work out in everyday I would be in the best shape!
The view from the hotel.  It over looks Salt Creek, a fun surfing beach.  The waves were actually really fun that day, we surfed all afternoon.  It was so nice being in the water all day, and not worrying about the kids. (Thank you Grandma JC)!

I took him to dinner at the Salt Creek Grill.  JB had the best steak he's had in a long time. 

Fathers and Sons

Friday night was fathers and sons. It was down at Churches, right on the sand. JB and CJ went down with Steve and Tommy.  
The boys and their dads.  JB feels so lucky that he has such a fun little guy to take camping.  And I feel so lucky to have a little girlfriend to hang out with when daddy and CJ are gone.
These little guys had so much fun playing together.  They became such good buddies.

Modest Mouse and REM

Our dear friends Deron and Cora took us to go see Modest Mouse and REM play at the Hollywood bowl. We had so much fun. It was a great concert.

Modest Mouse is one of JB's favorite bands so it was such a thrill for him.

REM was really good too. We only wished they played more of their hits. They played songs from their new album which we didn't know.  It was an amazing show! 

Nice Boy Chart

We made a nice boy chart to encourage CJ to be nice to his baby sister. Every time he shared a toy or was gentle and loving to her we gave him a sticker. When her filled out the chart he got a Little Einstiens Pat Pat Rocket.

We Love GG and Papa Joe!

Today we went down to GG and Papa Joe's home in Oceanside. We always have so much fun playing toys and eating yummy snacks. They are so sweet and loving, CJ and little M love them so much.

Summer Fun in HB

One of the things I love most about Huntington is the great group of moms and little kiddies. I can easily name 10 more moms that could have been here this day. Everyone is so down to earth, kind, and beautiful on the inside and out. I feel so lucky to have so many great friends.

Crazy Saturday

We had such a fun weekend. On Saturday we went to Sano and surfed in the morning. Then we went straight up to HB for a birthday party for Eden Sumner. It was a great party with lots of yummy food, fun games, and prizes for the kids, not to mention sprinkles cup cakes. After the party we headed over to the Baltzer's for a swim party. It was a non-stop day, and CJ did not even take a nap the whole day. He is still recovering on his sleep. This morning he took a nap at 10 am!

Mother's Day Weekend at the River

We drove out to the Colorado River for Mother's day weekend. It was so beautiful out there. The weather was perfect, high 80's. We had so much fun as a family playing in the water, making banana pancakes, watching movies, and giving CJ a haircut.

Miss B loves her glasses.  It is one of her many words.  It is funny hearing it come out of such a tiny little girl.  She is 17 months and has barely hit 19 pounds. 

CJ loves to play on the board and pretend like he is surfing.  Hopefully he will let us take him out again this summer.  Last year I think He was a little bit braver.

The Boys

Every Sunday my mom cooks dinner, and the family gets together. CJ has so much fun playing with cousins Lang and Jett. They do get a little wild, and they do need a referee constantly, but they do love each other so much!
