Christmas Day

Christmas morning was so much fun.  The kids loved seeing all the loot Santa brought.  Miss B loved her new swimming baby.

CJ loving the Planet Heros rocket ship.
New Disney princesses.
In the afternoon we headed up to Fountain Valley.

Here are all of the cousins, except Miss B.  She was catching up on her beauty sleep.
Every year we take a group shot.  Somehow it always turns out pretty good of everyone.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas eve with Grandma and Papa Hennigs. We had such a fun time with everyone. All the little cousins were so excited. They loved being together. Grandma Jaycie gave them all pirate action figures, and also sewed them pirate clothes. Miss B loved playing with the boys.
The guys showing off their new skinny pants from Aaron.  And Steve in his zip up sweatshirt that zips all the way up his face.
Pirates.
Waiting for Santa.  We put carrots for the Reindeer, and cookies and milk for Santa.

Winter Solstice

Every year on the winter solstice you can balance an egg. It has to be around noon. JB always remembers the day after and is always so bummed out that he missed the chance. This year he set the alarm on his phone to remind him.
All of the cousins were over at Grandmas house to have sunday dinner.  They were all so cute on the couch watching Polar Express.

Boat Parade

Pretty much every year since 2005 we have been going to the boat parade in Newport Beach.  It has become a family tradition to go get clam chowder from the Crab Cooker and go watch the boat parade.  The year Miss B was born I watched the boat parade twice, once at the harbor, and once in the labor and delivery room at Hoag Hospital.

Miss B is 2!

We can't believe our little girl is 2!   We spent December 16th with family opening gifts, and later went out to dinner at Ruby's in South Coast Plaza.

Loving her new toys!
With her new baby doll.
Out to dinner at Ruby's.  She enjoyed her grilled cheese sandwich and french fries!
She had fun at Ruby's with all the attention from Mimi and Poppy.
She was not sure what to think of all the singing and clapping.
She loved her yummy ice cream and cherry on top.

On her real birthday, December 17th, we sang Happy Birthday to her and had cupcakes at JB's parent's house. (She had to go to the doctors and Mommy had to work so we celebrated a day early).
Once the candles were out of the way she was a happy girl.  I think she was afraid of them because she knew they were hot!

We love our sweet little girl she is 24 pounds of love.  The best things come in small packages!

Christmas Traditions

We have had so much fun with all of the Christmas traditions this year.  The kids really got into decorating the tree.  CJ broke a few ornaments this year.  I'm sure those won't be the last.

We had fun driving around Fountain Valley looking at Christmas lights. Here is one of the many crazy houses.

The B's started a new family tradition this year: The Elf on the Shelf.  CJ named our little elf Magic.  He sits on the shelf each day and watches over the kids.  At night he flies to the North Pole and tells Santa how the kids were that day.

They were so excited to meet Magic.

Miss B.

Tonight CJ went to bed early. I think he was tired from all that bike riding. Miss B found CJ's cup and his "Hula" so she walked up the dark stairs, into his dark room and plunked them right on top of him. I don't know how she could see because when I went to check on her I had to turn on the lights. It is cute how much she loves him.

Riding His Bike

CJ was riding his bike this afternoon. He was loving it. He can now start pedaling all by himself with no help.

Afraid of Santa!

I don't know why but my kids are deathly afraid of Santa.  At the San Clemente 2nd ward Christmas party, they had Santa for the kids.  All of the kids went running towards him, but mine went in the opposite direction.  CJ would not even look at him!  There was no way that I was going to get him to sit on Santa's lap.  I tried with M.  She was bummed too.  It was pretty sad.

Thanksgiving 2008

For Thanksgiving we went to Mike and Tami's house.  They have a house about 1 hour from JB's parent's River house.  We had such a great time with all the cousins.

The trampoline was a big hit.
The crafts for the kids were fun too.
Miss B flying high with daddy on the trampoline.
Showing off our baby bumps.  I am due a few days before Sarah.
Before dinner we went on a walk to the river, which was only a short distance away.
Walking down the path to the river.
Some of our crew.  There were still a couple at the house cooking dinner.
The Family.
It was the most beautiful evening. It was so clear and calm.
Loving the bike.  She thought she was such a big girl.
The girls.
The kids.  Notice CJ the pirate.
The spread.
The boys chowing down on the yummy dinner.
After eating a huge dinner the kids went swimming.  Of course they waited 30 minutes for their food to digest.  Poor Jeff was the only adult in the hot tub with them.
The day after Thanksgiving was beautiful too.  Wyatt and CJ had so much fun playing in the water together.
