Bam Bam was happy to be at the beach, and excited to get in the water.
Little sis sat on the beach and cheered her brother on.
We were excited to get home from the Colorado River, and take our son surfing. For Family Home Evening tonight we went down to 9th street to the beach. The waves were not very good there, so Johnny paddled the little guy down to the pier. They were on the outside of south side. There were tons of pros out from the U.S. Open. All of a sudden a big set wave came rolling in. They were the only ones out far enough to catch it. Everyone on the pier and in the water were hooting and hollering for them to catch it. Johnny was thinking "Oh no, now I have to go." They paddled and caught the wave, riding it on their bellies (too big to try to stand up on for a 1st wave). They rode it for a long time, going left, everyone was cheering for them, then Johnny had to straighten out because the wave reformed and doubled up. Bam Bam was riding on the nose of the board and suddenly they began to pearl. He slid underwater first, then Johnny fell on top of him, then Bam Bam kicked Johnny in the nose, then Johhny said he lost him. Luckily Johnny had tied a short leash around little man's life vest and he was able to pull him up right away. He came up smiling and he said "FUN!" Johnny was so relieved that he was not traumatized. (Bam Bam is a good swimmer and feels very comfortable in the water, he was safe). Eventually they caught a little white wash and they rode it all the way to the beach.
Here is a video of one of the little wipe outs.
Here is CJ surfing on his first wave with Dad.

Last Day on the River
We are so sad this is our last day on the river. We definately took advantage of it though. Bam Bam had fun with cousins Cade , Brittany, and Caitlyn in the tube. It was so bouncy though. I went out there too, and I thought I was going to bounce out into the river. Bam Bam has had so much fun swimming and surfing too. Johnny and I can't wait until we can get home and take him surfing on some real waves.

Pebbles and Bam Bam
We decided that our children look like the modern day versions of Pebbles and Bam Bam. Our son has white hair and is very aggressive. Our little girl looks like Pebbles when she wears her leopard bathing suit. Her hair sometimes looks like it is strawberry blond too.
Little man loves spaghetti. Pebbles loves Carrots. (This was her first time having them).
Another Night on The Boat
It seems like every day they do a new trick on the surfboard. Last night the little guy was on Dad's shoulders, tonight they were surfing without the rope. It is so cool that my boy is so comfortable out there on the surfboard. Daddy and son even took a couple spills tonight and he came up smiling. He loves the water, and is a little fish. He loves all the attention that we give him too. little sis loves the water too. She was fussy in the boat, and as soon as Johnny put her on the surfboard with him she started smiling.

Daddy and Son Surfing
Day 6 at The River
Scooting
She is really learning how to scoot around. She kind of does an army crawl. I don't know what I'm going to do when I have two moving around. I'm in trouble!

4th of July
In the morning we went to the parade on Main street. It is so much fun that we can walk there. It is a family tradition of four years now. Tad, Amber and baby joined us at the parade too.
After the parade we walked down to 9th street beach. Baby B loved playing in the sand and water.
After the beach we had family over for a BBQ. Then we walked to the beach for fireworks. We had a great day!
We had fun with all of our cousins, parents, and grandparents.
Sis-in-law Kelly, and little cousins, and me, Julie.
It was a great firework show!
