Finding Joy in the Journey

February

Maile was not too happy that we put Grandma Beutler's wig on her!
February 2, 2007 was the first time Maile and Saxon met.  They slept through their introduction.
Still sleeping.
Maile is six weeks older than Saxon, so it was a huge difference when Saxon first came on the scene.
Curren loves baby Saxon.
Amber Baltzer and I with our little babies.  We did not know Saxon was coming until after Maile was born.  We were so excited for the Baltzers to finally receive a little baby!  They adopted him through LDS social services.  Adoption is such a blessing.
Happy families!
Maile was blessed by her father on February 3, 2007 at the 17th street building in Huntington Beach.  Our ward starts at 8:00 AM!  I was up at 6:00 trying to get everything and everyone ready.  Even though we got up at six, we were still a few minutes late.  Church was so early, but we had a lot of family and friends there supporting baby Maile.  We love her so much.
The circle Steve Hennings, David Hennings, Jim Hennings, Tad Baltzer, John Beutler (daddy), Bill Struhs, Bruce Beutler, John Moody, and Shane Struhs.  (Uncle Aaron Hennings was out of town that weekend, that is why he was not there).
The Baltzers came too.  They left baby Saxon at home with Grandma.
Daddy and baby Maile.
Our new little family.
Me and my real doll.  I've always wanted one!
Clay Ohlson and baby Maile.  We have a similar picture of Curren and Owen Ohlson.  Maile was not to happy to be put down on the hard floor.
Happy Baby girls are so much fun.
February 5th was Maile's first trip to Disney Land.  I think she slept through most of it.
Curren LOVES my friend Jerriann Banks.  He was a little afraid on the Whinnie the Pooh ride, so he climed over the seat to sit on her lap.  Kennedy did not seem to care to share her mom.
Owen Picket, Curren, Owen Ohlson and Kennedy Banks all hanging out in the petting zoo.
Elle and Maile hanging out in their strollers.
Our crew: Me, Maile, Curren, Jen, Elle, Marci, Owen, Shannon, Clay, Owen, Jerriann, and Kennedy.  I always have a ton of friends to go to Disneyland with.  We are so lucky to live about 20 minutes away.
Maile's first time on the carousal.  I think she liked it.  Curren always loves to ride on the horses.
Maci Whitesides came to visit us one day.  We had so much fun hanging out at the beach.
Curren loves his play group.  Here Curren, Kennedy, and Owen are playing with play-dough at our table.  The moms all rotate once a week.  It is so nice to be able to get things done without a crazy two-year-old.
Pretty baby girl can lift her head so high now!
Smiley Maile.
Loving bother and sister.
I took these pictures so I can send them out for Valentines day.

Maile and Curren's first bike-ride together in the trailer.  Curren actually did a good job and did not even touch his sister once!
Another visit from Maci, and this time a kiss!
I unwrapped Maile to feed her one night, and her arms stuck straight up.  They were up like that for at least a minute.
I thought it was so cute and so funny.  She reminded me of Frankenstein or something.
The night before Valentines day I  put all of this out on the table.  I sewed Curren a surfing monkey blanket, and I sewed Maile beach themed blanket to swaddle her in.  I bought a RC airplane for Johnny that he had been wanting forever.
Valentine's morning.  The loves of my life!
Bath time!  Miss B is so cute during bath time.  Johnny held her up one time over the shower curtain.  I thought it was so funny because she looked like a puppet.  I had to take a picture.
Here she is taking a bath in the Kitchen sink in her baby bath.  I love this bath because it has a little hammock so she can feel comfortable that she won't fall.  Maile loves bath time.
Curren and Daddy flying his new RC airplane at Lake park by our house.
This is Maile's first trip to the beach, on the sand. (I've taken her on walks in her stroller on the board walk).  February 24, 2007.
Curren checking out the babies.  Saxon and Maile did not like the sun in her eyes.
Johnny and Tad with their new little buddies.
On February 28th we took a family trip to Disneyland.  This was Johnny's first time with the kids.  They had so much fun.

Here we are in the California Adventure park.  I love seeing Johnny with the baby bjorn on!
